About

Jasmy Chieh-Hsuan Chen is a Vienna-based designer, maker, and editor. She holds a Master of Architecture from Studio Greg Lynn at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, where her research centers on human-computer interaction with VR, design-to-production workflows, and robotic fabrication. Her work explores the integration of human craftsmanship with digital fabrication techniques. In addition to her design practice, she serves as an editor for the ABSTRAKT issue. Jasmy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Design from the University of Hong Kong and subsequently practiced in Hong Kong for 3 years, specializing in computational workflows, fabrication methods, and material research.

This website presents a selection of works that engages with design-to-production workflows. The projects explore domains such as the integration of VR and haptics to capture previously unmeasurable movements, the use of robotics with low-carbon materials, and the management of data with Grasshopper in design-build projects. Together, they represent an initial effort in the search for new systems, structures, and orders in a rapidly evolving yet traditional field.
